KCUR

Our mission is to serve the needs and aspirations of the Kansas City region with an accurate, credible, and unbiased media service that informs, engages, entertains, and enriches both individuals and our diverse community.

There is a real psychological boost to knowing we are part of an essential part of this great community. There are icons of this city everywhere, but nothing so dynamic and living as the voice of the city we get every day from KCUR.
A free and independent press is the cornerstone of keeping our democracy. We have such gratitude for public radio!
I listen to KCUR all day long and enjoy Classical KC at night. The excellent programming and non-biased reporting keeps me informed.
I listen to KCUR because of the variety of programming, and because I can listen on my radio at home or in my car, on a computer, or on my phone. No matter where I am KCUR is with me.

KCUR is home to three regional collaborations:

The NPR Midwest Newsroom (MO, KS, IA, NE)

Harvest Public Media (MO, IA, NE, OK, IL + associate partners)

Kansas News Service (KCUR, KS Public Radio, KMUW and High Plains Public Radio)

KCUR is lead station in the Kansas City Media Collective, comprised of local nonprofit media organizations

KCUR owns and operates sister station, 91.9 Classical KC
