My kids and I greatly enjoy listening to pretty much all the shows. What gives me the greatest pleasure is when my younger one will play WABE by herself to listen to the news. I love that your programs have sparked that interest in their young minds. Thank you!!
Many thanks for the great job you are doing and adding such value to our community!
The wide variety of programs keep us engaged with topics and perspectives that affect our world, from the local to the global level. We learn, contemplate, talk, and feel more connected.
Thanks for the hard and consistent work of bringing us fact-based reporting and providing context for what’s going on in our community and the world around us every day. I appreciate y’all!

About WYEP:

WYEP’s mission is curate and champion diverse music experiences to enlighten, entertain, and connect people in the Pittsburgh region.

Since 1974, 91.3 WYEP has played an important role in the culture of Pittsburgh. The station has grown over the last 45 years, bringing on full-time DJs and adopting the Adult Album Alternative format.

Our core programming, that can be heard every weekday includes the Morning Mix hosted by Joey Spehar, the Midday Mix hosted by Kyle Smith, the afternoon mix hosted by Rosemary Welsch, and the evening mix hosted by Liz Felix. Staying true to our roots, our weekends and nights are dedicated to specialty shows curated and hosted by volunteers from our community.

While you’ll most easily find us on the airwaves, or streaming from this website, we’re more than just on-air programming. WYEP is responsible for some of Pittsburgh’s favorite music experiences, including our flagship concert, Summer Music Festival. Our team is always thinking of ways to enrich the Pittsburgh music scene, to unearth the history of our local and national music culture, and to keep our audience at the forefront of what’s new and next in music.
